Went to Anomaly Coffee today with Uncle Bob :)
He got to taste what a chemex is really supposed to taste like...
I made him a chemex Friday, and it was super strong!

Whussa clemex?
ReplyDeletei like the depth of this picture, wish i could see what you could see through the glass pitcher though. is uncle Bob feeling better every day?
ReplyDeleteA chemex is one way to brew coffee. You use that glass container that is in the middle of the picture. there is a special cone shaped coffee filter you put in the top of the glass container, put the ground coffee beans in the filter, then pour water over the top of the grounds. The water will trickle through the grounds and drip out the bottom like a coffee machine does. It is really good coffee. unlike coffee machines, the chemex extracts all of the ground evenly allowing the coffee to taste less bitter and more flavorful.
ReplyDeleteand emily, I have another angle of this picture that you can see a little more of the back ground, but I still can't make out what it is behind it... I will keep that in mind the next time I take pictures.
